An Important Update About This Sunday's Race

After carefully monitoring the weather forecast and consulting with local authorities, we've decided that we will not be able to safely hold the race on Sunday, September 27. While we've always said “rain or shine,” the safety of our runners, volunteers, and event guests must come first. Significant rain and flooding along the race route will result in unsafe conditions. 

But we don't want the weekend to simply be canceled. Five years ago, we started this race to keep Anthony’s memory alive. Every year, all of you have helped make that happen. While we may not be able to run together this Sunday, we can still come together, to remember Anthony, celebrate his life, and celebrate the incredible community that has grown around this event. We are so grateful to one of our amazing sponsor restaurants for hosting our special event this Saturday at Dock 9.

Saturday, September 26 from 2pm - 4pm

Dock 9, The Velvet Mill, Stonington, CT

All race entrants, sponsors, volunteers, friends & family are invited to join us at Dock 9 to pick up your race shirts, grab a drink or food on us and, most importantly, raise a glass with us in memory of our son, Anthony J. Gervasini. 


This is a chance for us to still come together as the community
​that has made this race so special over the years.


We hope you'll join us and help celebrate Anthony. While the race may not happen this year, the reason we started it and the memory of our son will always remain.

For anyone who still wants to complete the race, we will also be offering a virtual option for this year's 5k. You can run or walk your 5k wherever you are, when it is safe to do so, and still participate in honoring him. Please see below for details.
